I am a junior in high school, and I am taking my first SAT I in March. I have been practicing with A LOT of practice tests so I know my practice score and how questions are asked, etc. However, I also have Metro-Final debate tournament on the same day. If I place, I am qualified for states.
I do have time to do SATs in May, June and October...
What should I pick?

Do you think you’ll end up retaking/needing to retake the SAT? Do you still need to take SAT subject tests as well? I’d probably pick the debate tournament, since it’s a pretty weighty tournament. I do debate too, and I was fine taking the SAT just once the June before senior year.

@slothz I might take the SAT 1 twice (June and October), and then I’m taking SAT 2 for math and chemistry (May).
Would colleges like to see that you qualified for metro-finals and placed?

Debate tournament. Good luck!

Pick debate. If you do well, it’ll be well worth postponing the SAT.
Good luck!!

You can take the SAT plenty of times. Do the debate tournament, good luck!

Thanks everyone!
