SAT- plan

Hello,

I am in the middle of my winter break and I have about 3 weeks until second quarter starts. I am not a native speaker so English portion of SAT is really hard for me.
My scores are:
Math 760 (I don't think I will need to practice more math)
Reading high 500's to mid 600's
Writing mid 600's to low 700's

For writing I have problems with the essay (always between 8-10) and as for reading, I only get half of vocab right and always short on time (run out of time so always have around 5 questions, not even looked at).

Any suggestion on these specific problems? just practice?

for the writing, i suggest getting the grammar down before you work on the essay. a 10 essay seems really good to me. if you get good at the grammer to the point where you only miss one or two, you can get 700+ on the actual test with an 8 essay. just study basic grammar rules; i used the princeton review study guide.
for the critical reading, just memorize vocabulary words. it can seem really tedious, but it really helps! memorize the princeton review hit list, and the kaplan hitlist, as well as some of the barrons. that helped me a lot! there are also some vocab words on the spark notes website that help too. as far as time, practice is key. if your stuck on a question, dont hesitate to skip and come back. if you dont get back to it, its better than having answered it and gotten it wrong.
