SAT Practice Test 5, Reading question 24. Help ?

Hey everyone,
Can those who have done the reading of practice test 5 please enlighten me ?
In the reading section, question 24 says :
Which choice best reflects the perspective of the “environmentalists” (line 27) on conventional agriculture?
A) It produces inferior fruits and vegetables and is
detrimental to the environment.
B) It is energy efficient and reduces the need to
convert wilderness to farmland.
C) It is good for the environment only in the
short run.
D) It depletes critical resources but protects wildlife
habitats.

Well, the answer sheet says it is answer A. But according to the text, conventional agriculture does produce SUPERIOR fruits and vegetable, not inferior. Even according the the environmentalists’ perspective. (I agree with the detrimental to the environment part)
Can someone help ? I am really confused and tweeking about this one question.

For this question, you have to distinguish the point of view of the environmentalists from the point of view of the defenders of conventional agriculture.

The environmentalists DISAGREE with the defenders of conventional agriculture discussed in the paragraph preceding line 27 (“Of course, that’s not how environmentalists regard their arugula…”)

The environmentalists think organic food is better tasting and better for the environment than the food produced by conventional agriculture: “They have embraced organic food as better for the planet—and
healthier and tastier too—than the stuff produced by agricultural corporations.” This entails that the environmentalists think the food produced by conventional agriculture is inferior and worse for the environment = choice A.

Thank you!
