SAT Prep Course

I want to take a prep course that will best prep me for the SAT. Living in Canada my choices are limited. I was wondering if anyone of these forums has taken the Kaplan In-Class Course or the Princeton Review In-Class course for the New SAT.
I am under the impression that Princeton Review's course will be far superior to that of Kaplan's.
Any feedback is appreciated.

princeton review is pretty good, i'd go with it over kaplan..

pimpa10 are you with testmasters or something

no man i took the class for the march sat and it helped me a lot...u can ask around or search for past threads, and if u think princeton is more helpful the by all means go with it i really dont care...im just trying to help...

smartguy, I'm from Canada too and I'm starting my PR class in 2 weeks. I heard it helps alot.

Princeton in my opinion, just sucks. They simply teach you common sense strategise that can be learned in ten minutes through a 20 dollar book.

Get a Kaplan/PR/Sparknotes book for the hardcore strategies and buy CollegeBoard's book for practice tests and concept review. Voila.

has anyone ever used studyworks? the 300point guarantee sounds nice..

i havent heard of them but if they have such a high guarantee they are good...testmasters had that so that was part of why i tried it...if they werent good they wouldnt have such a high guarantee bc they would lose money with kids coming back and taking the class again

what is testmasters guarantee

also pimpa10 what if i don't have 11 other students willing to take the course

Don't take pr. It sucks and all the things they teach are in their 20 dollar prep book. And when you try and ask them about cricital reading questions, they give ******** responses. Math was decent but than again, its all stuff u can learn in a prep book.

their guarantee is 300 pts or you can take the class again for free...and believe me...since the first diagnostic to the last, 8 out of the 10 people went up the 300 pts...only my and one other friend did not go up that much, but we alredy had considerably high scores...and if you cant find 9 ppl, since 10 is the minimum, then i dont really know what you should do...maybe if you call them and ask them to put up a class in your city and see if it fills up...go to testmasters.com, get the number, and call them up and see...good luck

what?? i think i screwed up horribly on SAT but the cost for a regular class of testmasters is about $399 for down payment and i think $499 fee. I can't believe people pay that!! i wouldn't dare ask any one in my family to pay that. you guys are crazy

maybe if you work a little for a month of two to pay for your class...or thats too crazy for you too???

easier said then done and it would take well more then 2 months to pay for that. Plus i am getting a job but then i have to pay for car insurance and gas. I know most don't get it but $800 is a lot no a ton of money. i know that is hard for some to understand. Plus how am i going to get to work. We don't have buses and my mom works. Would you like to drive me?

if u work less than 13 hours a week for minimum wage...you can add up to 600$ in two months

Studyworks is really good, they have a 300 point guarantee! If you take it in the DC area, ask for Courtney or Roderick.

Most of the places like Testmasters and Studyworks don't have California classes, which sucks. I can't wait for ther online Testmasters course.

studyworks DOES have a CA class, i checked, but they're all for may and june, i was probably going to sign up in summer
