Do I need to take one to score well???
I'm a high school sophomore and am really confused about sat prep courses. Is it possible that I just use the BB and score in the 2200+ range? Princeton review classes are really expensive and most reviews are negative saying that these courses are a big waste of time and money! Does anyone have a more efficient alternative to these pricey and not always successful classes?

Also does anyone know of classes that may be expensive but are still helpful not like Princeton review which I heard was not useful at all?

Take a practice test to see where your score is. If it’s above about 2000, you’ll get very little out of a prep class. Classes with a lot of people won’t do you any good if most of the people aren’t as good at SATing as you are.

If you score well on the first practice test, just take more right before the actual test. A lot more. Personally, I did one per day for the week and a half leading up to the test and I think that’s the main reason that I did well.

It’s possible to score well over 2200 using only the blue book (I did), but it depends on where you start.

Thanks. :)

Thanks for the feedback

Have you taken sat prep courses? If so, which one would you recommend?
