I was wondering If I could set up an SAT journal in a thread.

My idea right now is to prep very hard and hope for a great score in October 1st

I have taken 2 SAT's Already
1. SAT #1, little sleep the night before and Unknowingly I just showed up with no prep work. My parents and I thought I should just do one as practice. so I did pretty poorly considering I was pretty sleepy and the school was far away.

May 07 test scores: Reading 550, Math 510 , Writing 560..1625 Essay was an 8
1620
Ouch that was bad!

Second test in June went better

I prepped with a class at school. The class was a waste of time really. I used Kaplan test as a way to become familiar. Never did a practice test or a full diagnostics test.

score in June was all around improvement. I got some sleep this time and had low test anxiety compared to the first venture. Prep wok came in handy only to the fact that I knew how the test was designed and about the sections.

I actually think the questions were easy and not hard

score: Reading 600, Math 630, Writing 570
1800 exactly improvement of 180 points

right now I decided to drop kaplan and work with the real testing book. Majortests.com has a pretty good 8-week program I am going to do in less time to get a start on as my prep

SAT Prep : Practice tests and information for students taking the SAT test <- this has the material to work from

I have a few questions though:

I still need to work on doing the SAT subject tests..Can I take them the same day I take the SAT?
I have not sent my scores to any college should I? rising senior
when should I apply? I want to get better test scores first, but I will need aid and as much as possible so I do not want to miss the early app

rising senior right now

ACT+writing I did terribly, got a 23 composite. I really do not like the test as much but it has no sat test subjects to accompany it so that is a major plus.

gpa is 4.01 weighted and 3.6 unweighted, many AP classes coming up senior year heavy corse load yet no AP classes as of yet
