back home, good to be back, I’ll try to get right back on the SAT track tomorrow, or sunday at the latest

I’ve decided to do test 2 in the NBB a little differently, I’m still timing the sections,
but I don’t really have the 5hrs to do the entire thing again I did last time, so I’m breaking it up & just doing each individual section within its time constraints

I’ve only done section 2(math), finished a couple seconds ago
correct- 20 incorrect- 0 skip- 0 raw math score so far- 20

section 4 CR done (3 was omitted from this test goes 2 then 4)
Correct- 24 incorrect- 1 omit- 0 CR raw score so far - 24

yikes, anyone else who has done the 2nd test in NBB feel that section 4 was a tough critical reading section? I was surprised to have only missed one

you seem lonely

because I’m writing a prep log or because I’m the only one writing in the thread?

either way I do the log for me because I like to write down how I’m doing and keep track & this also keeps me motivated, if no one wants to reply, eh nothing I can do about that lmao

the latter lol
when are you (re)taking it?

planning on october, I should be (hopefully) plenty ready by then hehe

section 5 math
MC correct- 8 incorrect-0 Free Answer correct-10 Incorrect-0

Current math raw score- 38

good thing I finished this one with 8 minutes to spare, I had time to check my work and realize I made a silly mistake on 11 could have been devastating otherwise hehe

section 6, writing
correct- 35 incorrect- 0 omit- 0 current writing raw score- 35

I have to say that was a very easy writing section. & this test is also shaping up to be a pretty good one as long as I don’t miss many in the 2 CR sections I have left

[edit] i’ll put my total tallied raw scores so far here
CR-24
M-38
W-35

missed one in section 7 CR, so now I will have to perfect section 9(but hopefully that should be doable i usually perfect one of the three)
Correct-23 Incorrect-1 Omit-0 CR raw score-47

Tallied
CR-47
M-38
W-35

(these tallied scores made me look at the charts, very interesting, if i just omit the rest of the questions on the test, I can have a score in the 1800s lmao)

Finished up the test
Section 8 (Math)
Correct- 16 Incorrect- 0 omit- 0 Raw Score- 54
Section 9 (CR)
Correct- 18 Incorrect- 0 omit- 0 Raw Score- 65 ( I knew I could do it ;P)
Section 10 (W)
Correct- 14 Incorrect- 0 omit- 0 Raw Score- 49

Raw Score Final Tallies- CR- 65 M- 54 W- 49

Scaled Scores- CR-800 M-800 W(MC subscore)-80

w00t Finally a 2400 practice test
haha

just curious, where are you applying? :P

Cal Tech -#1 choice
than i’ll apply to
Stanford UCB MIT UCLA & one of the three HYP probably

Just to update the log,

I haven’t done anymore on tests yet, I’m reviewing a little english by learning root words in order to help me not miss anymore sentence completions, since it seems all I miss are sentence completion in CR, and learning roots seems it will be more effective than actually learning words

Quick question (since only one other person seems to be responding): how much time do you spend on SC and on PBQ? Just a rough estimate.

do you mean an individual question or each part?

if you mean by part I definitely spend a lot more time on PBQ

I’d say I spend about 30 seconds a question on average at the most on the vocabulary ones, because usually for the first 6 (sometimes 7) I know it immediately so those take less than 30 seconds, than last one or two I actually think about a little

so I’d say (if your asking for advice) definitely spend more time on PBQ, because those are really interpreting and take time, while the vocabulary questions just test knowledge that you either have or don’t and should go very quickly

I noticed only tests 1-3 have exact scores so I’m going to save test 3 for my final test,
going to do at least a couple sections of test 4 today

& section 2 test 4 (Critical Reading) done,
went well, finished with 7 minutes to spare and no vocabulary tricked me this time
correct- 24 incorrect- 0 omit- 0 (current) raw score- 24

section 3 test 4 math
correct- 20 incorrect- 0 omit- 0

however i think i have done this test before, so after 1 2 3 it just goes in order with the 7 from the old bb, so I’m going to go ahead and stop here for this test & begin on test 6 next time I work

section 2 test 6 math
correct- 20 incorrect- 0 omit- 0

wow, I really think I should wake up before I take these tests by eating breakfast or something, I took this basically the moment I woke up (about 45 min ago) and my brain was just not working, luckily I finished it really early and was able to correct the two silly mistakes I would have made ( including question #1
)
