SAT prep Needed!

I have not started to study for the NEW SAT yet. I am a sophmore right now and I need to get started studying. Which brand of SAT prep books are the BEST? Has anyone used the sparknotes NEW SAT Prep yet? if so, how helpful was it?

College Board sells a prep book for the New SAT. Um, just look at Amazon and look for the highest rated SAT prep books.

Headedsouth, since you are a sophomore, I'd like to suggest that you buy Barrons'. I am a sophomore too. I'm gonna buy Barron's and start memorizing 3500 word list.

If you want to prep SAT thoroughly, use Barron's, and Gruber's or McGraw Hill's. Of course, CB's Official Guide to New SAT is a must.

dude... you have a year to mature in school.

there is nothing like the huge CB blue book with 8 practice tests.

You're 14...

I am 15 about to be 16 in July.
I will be a junior next year I dont think that this is to early to start studying!

Use Collegeboard's thick blue book. As far as I know, it has the greatest number of practice tests. I think that it is senseless to memorize the entire Barron's 3500 word list; you better focus on the high frequency vocabulary if you insist on memorizing a word-list.

Hey me too, 7/27! Yeah memorizing the words isn't gonna help, I'm sure you'll find words that weren't on the list and plenty of words that were on the list but won't be on the test. Whatever book the testmakers give out is obviously the best book, in this case Collegeboard's blue book. Gooooood Luck!
