<p>What program do you recommend to prepare for the SAT?
I got the basic rules for writing, and I memorized SAT words, and yet, did not improve at all.
I also took 1 month program which I went there every single day for 5 hours per day, and still my score was moderate.</p>
<p>What should I try this winter break???
What's the most effective program???</p>
<p>I heard Elite is a good program, but I don't think that's a program that fits for me, since all they do is memorize vocabulary words and do practice tests which might be ineffective.
I also heard Kaplan is a horrible program that nobody should use.
Lastly, I heard Princeton Review program was pretty effective, but what do you do there; do you guys think its effective??</p>
<p>k newton is pretty cool. You go through 10 online live classes and get taught math, reading, and writing concepts and then do practice problems and go over themm annnnnnnd chat with other students and the teacher about the SAT and other stuff. They require you to take like 6 practice tests too and they grade them…and have all the answers for you at the end…There is also homework after every lesson and other stuff…
They have a 10 day free trial period sooo maybe you should check it out
I increased my score by 240 points…</p>
<p>i used Huntington Learning Center and they were great. I increased my score by 500 points so it definitely paid off. I would highly recommend them. the people are so nice and helpful. But with SAT prep you have to remember that they only get you to your highest potential, but the program is worth it. They give practice test that are from old SATs and go over every problem that you got wrong and go over the areas that need the most improvement</p>
<p>Elite should be good if you’re really serious about raising your score, but it’s costly I’m sure.
While studying all those vocab words might be a bit inefficient (you really only need Direct Hits), their vast amount of practice tests is probably their greatest asset. The only way to raise your score is by practice, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, which is exactly what they’ll let you do.</p>
