I just took the SAT for the first time this Oct. and got a 2070 (M-750, CR-640, W-680), and I want to improve on that.

So far, I've heard the Collegeboard Blue Book is good, as well as Direct Hits for vocab. Is there anyone other books that will play a major part in improving my score (Barron's, Kaplan, Rocket Review, etc.)?

Thanks.

Grubers for math. Rocket Review for CR and W.
Bluebook for practice tests. :]

For me it was: Barrons for review and Princeton, Kaplan and McGraw for tests
But then again, I'm an overachiever ^^

Might I suggest you post up your scores as well? I just want to see how effective the preparation books prove to be for everyone :)

I have all the books - Barron
s how to prepare for the SAT and Barron
s 2400 ,the Blue Book,DIrect hits,Princeton review, rocket review and other book which title i dont remember but it is for math only.

Have you determined which type of questions you miss the most? That could probably help more with the prep books:

You should go to the My Organizer section then go to "Official Study Guide" after taking the test, you can enter in answers and Collegeboard will analyze your results.

Once you do, get back to us :D
