if i have a low score on the reading section(580) on the SAT but have a strong TOEFL(with high scores in each section including reading) and exceed the range at writing and math for a certain university, is it even worth applying? I was told that the first filter checks your SAT scores and if each section is not in the range that they require, they won;t consider your application. what should I do? I want to apply to soo many universities including a few big ones...
thanks!

You can retake and improve your scores!
TOEFL can never be compared to SAT. It is just an English Proficiency Test.

^i agree. try to improve your CR section to high-mid 600s. with a lot of practice, it can be done. good luck!

For certain schools, high toefl scores could cancel out low sat cr score, such as Penn.
And they'll take into account the fact that you're intl student.

But just like the previous post says, I'd suggerst you to try another time to do your best on cr.
