I really plan on raising my PSAT reading score. LAST YEAR I scored a 41 without studying. I plan on purchasing the KAPLAN workbook for SAT Critical Reading. Any other approaches (prep books, methods, etc.)?

41 w/o studying isn’t very good. Read Xiggi’s method it’ll help you the most. Kaplan will not help you very much.

Buy the official SAT study guide by collegeboard ( called the bluebook on here or BB) This book is way better than any other book you can get, because it has real tests. View the SAT as a game, with enough practice and reviewing of which answers you missed and which you didn’t you’ll ace it.

After doing 8 tests Xiggi’s method, i’m sure you’ll see a 200 maybe even a 300 point increase in CR!

DO NOT USE KAPLANS FOR TESTS ONLY USE COLLEGE BOARDS! Use kaplan/barrons/Princeton for explanations and strategy. Most strategies are common sense and are due to your preference.

Thanks…any others?

Where can I find this xiggi’s method?

Use the search function on this forum…

okay…I have narrowed down to two books.

Besides getting the SAT book published by the College Board, should I get Maximum SAT or Rocket Review?

Rocket Review. It’s a good all-rounded book.

can anyone tell me how to get access to ROCKET REVIEW? in my country its not available and i dont have a credit card :(

just curious…what country are you from gluttony?

bump…

Rocket Review or Maximum SAT for CR?
