Sat & Psat

How much more difficult is the SAT then the PSAT? Do the hard questions on the PSAT = the easy questions on the SAT?

No.

SAT's have 10 sections, one of which is not counted and one of which is the essay. The PSAT's 5 sections are almost identical to 5 SAT sections, with the exception of the math sections, which do not contain Algebra II material. It's often easier to get a high SAT score than a high PSAT score because of the scale. 3/35 WR questions answered incorrectly resulted in a 69(0) for me, yet 3/49 WR questions answered incorrectly results in a ~750, provided you have a good essay.

I've found that the PSAT's CR questions are slightly easier, but overall the tests are about the same in terms of difficulty. The primary difference is that the PSAT is much shorter, so missed questions take a lot more off of your overall score.

They are supposed to be exactly the same in terms of difficulty. If you generally do not miss many questions, you will probably do better on the SAT because each question is worth much less point wise.

I scored much better on the actual SAT. I took them over a 3 month span and scored 110 points higher on the SAT with no studying in between.
