SAT Question of the Day Help?

The Official SAT Question of the Day
The Official SAT Question of the Day

I have NO clue on how to do these! Help?

Did you read the hints and explanations? Those are very helpful :)

The first one I got most of it, but stuck towards the end. I need help as well. :(. Same for the second question. Why is the SAT so ambiguous?! :’(

Take 15 oz of each dye.

In an orange dye
red:yellow = 3:2 = 9oz:6oz

In a green dye
blue:yellow = 2:1 = 10oz:5oz

++++++++++++

Combining the two dyes will result in 30oz of mix containing
6oz + 5oz =11oz of yellow dye.

11oz is 11/30 of 30oz.

[Let me google that for you](LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You)

For the office vs cubicle problem, we list all possible arrangements using M for any man and W for any woman.

Office: M M M Cubicle: W W
Office: M M W Cubicle: M W
Office: M M W Cubicle: W M
Office: M W M Cubicle: M W
Office: M W M Cubicle: W M
Office: W M M Cubicle: M W
Office: W M M Cubicle: W M
Office: W W M Cubicle: M M
Office: W M W Cubicle: M M
Office: M W W Cubicle: M M

So there would be ten different arrangements, six of which have 2 M and 1 W in the office.
So the probability of 2 M and 1 W in the office is 6/10 or 3/5.

^^ Similar approach, but looking at the cubicles only:
