Did anyone find the SAT question of the day to be helpful in studying for the SAT? Are the questions on the SAT similar to questions of the day?

My son, who took the SAT1 3 times and had his score go up by 100 each time, swears by it and recommends it to everyone.

bump…

bump…

I find the questions to be slightly helpful. While they may tremendously help some people- to me, most of them are just slight variations of what’s in the blue book. If I were you, I would do those daily questions, but mostly study from the blue book. Personally, I don’t think the daily question of the day helped me dramatically improve.

They’re good for figuring out how the CB’s mind works, in my opinion. But it’s more helpful to actually take practice tests, that way you can time yourself and figure out how fast you have to work to finish the section or w/e.

Hehehe, I got those questions everyday for about two years…I only did the writing/vocab questions because I was too lazy to do the math questions. But yes, I would say that it’s helpful, in addition to taking practice tests (which are the most helpful).

And it’s a really nice feeling when you’re done with SATs and get to unsubscribe to those questions of the day. :)

They’re somewhat helpful…they weren’t really to me. SAT Q of the day is usually some super easy question and once in a while a tricky grammar question. They are in the exact style of real SAT questions, but I think the level of the SAT Q of the days are usually the easy to medium questions, and not too much the hard ones. However, if you consistently get the SAT Q of the day correct, it means you should be able to get a majority of the easy/medium questions on a practice test or real test.
SAT Q of the day sometimes provides some good explanations on how to solve the question though.
