SAT question?

I’m taking the SAT tomorrow and the rules they outlined aren’t really clear… can we bring phones and what does the test center do with them? Or are they not allowed at all?

In one section they say phones and electronic devices are prohibited and to leave them at home then in another they say the following:

"If your device makes noise, or if you are seen using it or you
attempt to access it at any time, including during breaks, you
will be dismissed immediately, your scores can be canceled, and
the device may be confiscated. The College Board and testing
staff are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items,
including electronic devices, while you are in the test center.
Before testing begins, the proctor may collect and hold
phones and other prohibited electronic devices during the
test administration, including during break periods. "

You can bring your phone (I always carry mine with me in case of emergency, etc.), however, your proctor will very likely take it from you during the test and breaks. I would power it off before the test to be safe.
