should i retake for the 2400?

seriously?

that is a more than fantastic score, so stop complaining. also, how do you know you won't do worse?

Out of curiosity, what grade are you in?
If you're a freshman or something...you could if you had nothing better to do...

But I would say no. 2380 basically = 2400, and you could be doing better things than worrying/studying for that extra 20 points (ex. ECs/SATIIs etc.)
Once you've reached this level, colleges look at other areas of your application, since you're SAT score is extremely good for even the top Ivies.

i am a 10th grader

Don't sweat it. You're finished with the SAT. Go do something worthwhile. Self-study some APs lol....or win yourself some national awards and you're set.

are you kidding me?
yeah go retake it and get a lower score

You must be crazy. Why would you even consider taking it again for a 20-point boost? That would be a waste of time and money better spent elsewhere in your future college application.

What did you get on the multiple choice section for the Writing section? To rephrase, what score is the minimum score you could receive, getting a perfect on the MC section of Writing, to get an 800 for the Writing section?

Umm go outside.
