SAT Question?

Does anyone know if the admissions board would "throw out" an application if the applicant has lower than their SAT score range?

I don't think they would throw out an applicant just for low SAT's. But the person probabley would have to do pretty well with grades, extra credits and whatever else. People on this forum are always telling stories of how someone they know got in with such and such incredibley low score.

first of all columbia never had a set "score range", your sat will be looked at as a part of your whole application, if you SAT is abnormally low and the rest of your application completely doesnt agree with those scores they'd notice. but your sat score will affectthe whole look of your application so a low score wouldnt do you any good.
