SAT Re-score: Reading/Writing

Hi all, I’ve gotten 36’s twice on the ACT English but 7 wrong on the new SAT writing, as well as 17 wrong on the reading. Is it worth paying for a re-score?
I doubt it was a mistake tbh, but I felt very good after taking the test. If it helps, I scored right where I wanted to on math, but more than 100 points lower on reading/writing.

In your shoes, yes, I would request a re-scoring. The difference in performance is dramatic enough to raise doubts about scoring accuracy. You have nothing to lose unless it’s unaffordably expensive, in which case it’s probably best to seek other opinions.

But maybe not: what did you get on the ACT Reading? The SAT Writing relies more on reading comprehension than the ACT English does, yes? (I’m not sure about that.) If so, and if grammar is a strength but reading comprehension is not, the discrepancy may make sense. The ACT may play to your strengths more.

Good luck.
