i think it was C too for that one

What about the math question, it was the last one in a set of multiple choice. The one with the symbols triangle. If A triangle B = B triangle A or something, then what is a possible value of A triangle B? I got 0 but I didn't have much time. What did everyone else get?

Virtuoso: zero. woohoo!

i put commerce / tempered appreciation

was there an answer about forten being silent or something

what was the question? i didnt get that as an answer

ok someone please help me out. I had 4 critical readings. section 2 was mars/ art, section 5 was about writings, section 6 i forget, and section 9 was about an explorer. I'm praying that section 6 was experimental. can someone confirm this?

im not sure but it might have to do with his interactions with whites

Pandora: yay! I was just sort of guessing too!

btw when do we get to know which section was the experimental?

Apparently, by sheer logic, the first grid-in was experimental; that is, if you had two grid-in sections.

Anyways, I liked the triangle question. It was mind-tingling. XD

pandora u got 4x root(3)?

"man of trade" replace trade with profession or commerce.
"man of profession" makes no sense
"man of commerce" makes a bit more sense given the context of the passage.

Skibob- yes the answer was C for the logic question because C was If its not in Y its not in X.
The question regarding what trade most closely represents is profession. I understand the whole commerce notion because I was thinking that as well because the whole thing is about business but because of its context and more importantly its typical of the SAT to assume people will choose commerce just because its a synonym of trade. i.e its probably the one most people choose...
Also for the whole Michelangelo question, I'm also pretty certain that the passage assumes great artist work best alone. In the sentence it state's that Vasari left him alone IE WITHOUT HELP and when he returned (returned quickly maybe I forget) he was amazed. I understand how some people may think that because he returned quickly the passage assumes great artist work quickly and with ease but come on that doesnt even make sense. Like thats not even a logical idea if you think about that. Anyways I'm pretty sure its work alone because at least thats a plausible claim.

i agree with danish boy... as i said before commerece was the trick answer

greenbay, can u justify. commerce makes sense if u replace it.

i put down commerce as well...

hey.. did anyone have this writing question in the last section
went something like:
blablabla the underground river, its formation began blablaba.

i changed its to "whose" instead of its, it sounded much better but im not sure if its right.

i dont remember the exact quote in the context of the passage but i just remember thinking that commerce did not make logical sense.. however i very well may be wrong

Panora: mozillameister: can't you complain to collegeboard about not being given 25 min to do the essay? If it doesn't do any good for you this time, at least make sure the proctor doesn't screw up the next round of testing for people.

Also, I hope you're really sure that you did as bad as you think you did. I almost cancelled my April 2300 score b/c I thought I bombed it.

I wish I didn't, but since I was going too slow on the 1st Math(omited over 5 questions), and was caught up with the fact I couldn't finish the 1st EC section (the essay, and the last EC passage was the most boring I've ever read in all my studing the Collegeboard book. The comic book one was interesting.)
The only section I was doing very well was Writing, but that got messed up from the essay.
What's worse: Getting stuck with a 1500 or maybe with some luck a 1900, or cancel it and take it over October?
Besides, the extra time will only help me if I use it wisely. (get as many study books for the library as possible and study a summer long)

Just twoe questions maybe someone can answer. By taking the SATI in October, does that automaticall exclude me from appling early decision for Colleges that requie SATII's since I didn't take any yet, or do they give extra time while ou apply?
Also, if say I decide tomorrow not to cancel, if the essay is partially done (no concluion, and missing paragraph I claimed I would include i essay) can I at least get an 6, or is it an automatic zero?

hmm was it an in context question? cause when i replaced those words, profession just didnt make sense.

he was a man of trade....

hmmmm what were the possible answers.

i think commerce fit with the previous sentence.

but his ability to handle many things also may have been the answer, but i dont think the previous sentences referred to that.
