that would be good

is it better to have experimental reading if your not strong at reading. Of course i have already taken the test and i cant change the outcome. This is out of curiousity.

madame.. i dont think it matters... unless u think u did so badly on a section that it stresses u out for the rest of the test. also.. someone recently posted his or her math grid in answers. two of his answers were 3 and 15. do u remember what quetions those were for?

does anyone remember a multiple choice question where they have you a linear graph in the -1 direction scatter plot and asked you to identify how many points had the y units (forgot what y was) greater than x units? i totally guessed A for the answer. i think it was either a (7) or b (8). can anyone confirm this?

it was however many was above the line...i believe

wow.... im sooo screwed. i already confirmed missing 4. i was hoping to beat my 720 last time but looks like my score will actually fall.

ok i dont think i've seen a discussion about this question... it was 2 squares overlapping and a shaded region in the middle of one of the squares and u needed the area of that region... did anyone get that question?

i dont think i did

nope......

DaGamma - your right, this thread has been difficult to follow because it is a jumble of two versions plus some occassional comments on the international test. Maybe this will help. Here is a list of what I think are answers to sentence completions from the test with the confused explorer and struggling artist. All comments and additions are welcome!

explosive...belied (has to do with volcanoes)
expurgate (extol was a wrong answer)
galling
demagogue
plasticity
impermeable
boyancy
pounce
deftly..unnecessary
discreet
antipathy or animosity
abstruse .... allusions

sunnyboy i got all of those answers i dont remember impermeable though but i defintly got most of those

what was boyancy for and what were the other choices? i probably got it right.. but i dont remember.

um...excuse me for my ignorance, but does cb give different versions of the SAT in different parts of the world? I took mine in Asia and I can't seem to recall (almost) any of the questions discussed here, including the essay...mine wasn't about technology; it was about whether we conform to our surroundings and society or not.

sunnyboy im afraid i gava different version of the test whr i had none of ur answers..
then again i think i gave the international version so thats probably it..

jh12000 im living in the middle east and gav the test here.
judging by the questions on this thread im dead sure that theres a different version for all internationals.. infact theres another thread here on CC that's for international/canadian test takers..
my essay topic was similar. it was on do we listen to peoples opinions or do we hav our own independent thinking..

Can someone post the link to CB where it says the experimental sections are?? someone told me it was definitely two as it was on CB, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on there. thanks!

Yeah, that was the topic...I just phrased it differently/inaccurately, but I don't get it...how does cb grade the SAT then? Do the international and domestic versions get graded separately? and if so, what happens to the percentage? wouldn't it be an advantage to get counted for an international version since....native speakers tend to have more difficulty with the CR section? (sorry for all these questions..)

jennyanne89 heres the link although its a bit confusing coz first they sahy its for the jun3 test and tehn the say its for the may test so im not too sure..
nonetheless heres the link http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/after/highlights.html
jh12000 i think the grading process must b a standardized one with no difference in internaional and domestic versions. well youre right it can b a lil of advantage to give the internation version but we can only speculate on that issue as it all depends on whether the curve is pre-determined or like some people say its calculated based on peoples perfomance..

for the one that was the volcano one i put volatile and something else..
