the bad part is after four hours you're tired and want to get it done with. and the sat is ordered by dificulty, so when youre most tired you have the hardest problems. go figure-...

this is another reason im happy to be going to the US for uni... my competition is full of pathetic morons.

pretty funny comment ^

IMO, I don't think it's too long but it could be shortened just a tad bit. Many students get brain fatigue(like me) by the 8th section and the concentration is lost at the end also.

The new SAT is seriously torture...it's just WAY too long. I don't understand why everything is getting so much harder than it used to be. It seems colleges want more and more while the SAT gets harder and harder. I weep for the future.

come on, if 4 hours of migranes, headaches and torture is all it takes to get to the university you want, then so be it. I mean, it's not the end of the world!

however, it should be short 1 hour 20 minute bursts of each section- it would make it less a marathon and more of an assessment test

Everyone knows it's not an assessment test. The only reasonit became longer is becasue all the other test makinf dudes made their tests longer anf the SAT dudes ddin't want to be hidden in their shaddows.

What other "test making dudes" are there besides the ACT, which changed because of the SAT?

I was under the impression that the SAT changed because the ACT changed. I must have been misled. Either way, you get the point.

Sweet Jesus, here's to an easy march 2007 test!

CB may or may not take this into consideration.... but yea, I agree that the test is far too long. I bet if you took the scores of the sections students did first they would be higher than the ones they did in the end, simply because the test erodes your concentration.
