SAT Reflections

Like most of you guys, I also took the SAT yesterday. I thought the math and writing were easy. The Critical Reading was hard, especially the reading passages. What are your thoughts? Do you guys think the scaling will be easier for the reading since the passages suck so much? I hated the Hmong passage and the passage on the theaters. On the other hand, I had a passage on the Cold War which was so easy, but it was an experimental section. SHUCKS. Anyway, for the Hmong passage, what was his initial goal and what was his ideal (last two questions)? I thought his initial goal was figure out the misunderstanding b/c he talked about how he first came to Merced and heard there was some misunderstanding (collision). And for his ideal, I thought it was for the American doctors to understand the Hmong people. I thought it may me to merge their concerns, but that didn't seem right to me because the concerns of the Hmong and doctors are different. On can't merge their differing concerns. What do you think? And one last question.... I completely blanked out on the theatre question. I didn't know if the author is talking about the renovation or destruction of the theatres. Does anyone remember the questions and the answers that you put? I was half awake when I got to that passage. Stupid theatre passage....that completely messed up my verbal score. I am pretty sure I can get an 800 on math 780+ on writing, but I am not sure about the critical reading. What do you guys think I will get if I got around 6-10 wrongs? Thanks for your feedback!

Math sucked, CR and Writing were O.K

any more reflections? And can somebody answer my questions above?

Writing was crazy easy, math was not as hard as I expected, but still a challenge for any student who is not math-oriented, and critical reading was tricky at time, but for the most part quite easy.

for the initial goal i selected the observe answer. for the ideal question, i put that he wanted them to merge their concerns.

jeez..i thought writing was the hardest...

I screwed on math, I just ran out of time and 3 questions that I got stuck on. 1 section of the verbal which I thought was extremely hard compared to the other 3 for some reason. then again, its just me.

The verbal CR passages were about average. I think that the curve will be like the one posted for CB's practice test, or very close. I thought the writing was hardest, but I'm terrible at correcting grammar (go essay!).

BTW, about the merging concerns, that was quite clearly spelled out in the last paragraph. Did you read it?

Critical Reading was definitely not "easy" but I've seen harder, so I'd say it was about normal. I thought writing was a tiny bit more confusing/harder than usual, but still easiest. Math was weird. One math section was easy, one medium, and the last one uber-hard. Anyone else notice that?! Maybe just me...
