SAT registration help!!

I am registering for the SAT in October 2015!

However,there were 3 choices.
1)SAT
2)SAT with essay
3) SAT subject tests

Isn’t the essay optional for the redesigned SAT?

and if i chose the SAT with Essay will the essay score be posted on the side only and not affect my writing score ??

The redesigned SAT is not effective until the March test.

Exactly!! i was offered 2 choices one was SAT the other was SAT with essay while registering for the OCTOBER TEST!!

If you choose SAT (without essay), the October test doesn’t appear a an option.
