SAT registration problem with College Board

I created a College Board for my daughter back in 2010 to take the SAT. Now I need to create one in order to register my son for the SAT, but College Board won’t let me change my daughter’s name to my son’s name. I tried setting up a totally different email account, but it still tells me I have an “original account” that I need to use! How in the world does one use College Board to register for the SAT if you have more than one child??

Usually they expect the email of student and this will not create problem. You have 2 choices here:

  1. Use your child’s email.
  2. Create a different email.

It makes sense to prevent changing name on the SAT account. Otherwise you don’t know which scores belong to which kid and this could be considered a fraud or cheating.

Thank you for your response. I did create a totally different email using my son’s name, but when I go through the process to register, it tells me to use my original account, and it won’t let me get past that point. I’ve tried numerous times. It’s so strange. I’m gonna have to try to call them or something.

Use a different computer with that new email address.

I think you need to clear the cache on your computer. Maybe someone with more computer expertise can confirm this will resolve the issue so you can proceed with the new email address.
