I got an 800 on SAT I Math but I didn't study at SAT II Math IIC at all (not even one practice test) and got a 730. Obviously, I have the potential to get an 800 but didn't.

Now, will this hurt me alot for USC admissions, especially scholarship consideration?

and should I take the SAT as a standby tomorrow and send it directly to USC?
however, 2 questions for ^
1) is it even possible to send it directly from a standby testing? how?
2) will my new math score arrive on time and will it replace my old score?

:*( so worried... I really really need scholarship admission from USC!

i remember talking to a usc admissions officer, and the test score from the december test won’t come in time for scholarship consideration… sorry :(

I know they take the December results for their regular admissions in January so it’s fine for that but im pretty sure they wont get you dec test scores in time specifically for their merit scholarships… I remember talking to them about that

So if you are retaking the SAT tomorrow and have the scores automatically sent to them, they won’t get it? It seems a bit illogical to me, because ED schools post their results 3 weeks after the November deadline, while this would be closer to 4 weeks, and ED schools generally accept November testing.

If an applicants chooses USC as an automatic score recipient and FAXes in the unofficial scores as soon as they are available, then YES, December scores will be considered for the scholarship deadline. This information is not only posted on the USC website linked in my post, above, it has been verified by applicant calls to USC admission over at least the last four years.

*For applicants for the regular deadline (but NOT the scholarship deadline), January scores are often considered as well.

How do you fax in an unofficial report? I sent in the official score report for USC, was there something else I needed to do? I’m also taking the SAT tomorrow (for a 2300+ superscore, so it wouldn’t be the end of me if they didn’t get it)

FAXing an unofficial report is probably only necessary if you sent your official score reports recently - within the last 3 weeks or so. If you sent them earlier than that they are certainly there and you don’t need to FAX. When you get your December scores DEFINITELY FAX those in.To FAX, use either your mailed score report or print out your online scores and FAX them to:

So since I had an official score report sent last night, i should fax in a copy of the online report on Monday? or would the official scores already have arrived?

Oh, then I guess they lied to me huh usually how many weeks does it take to send an ACT score? if i have my official report, should i rush report it to make the deadline?

Either that, or the official information (linked above) they have posted on the official USC admissions website (linked above) is a cruel joke meant to trick unsuspecting applicants into missing the scholarship deadline. There certainly is no possible way that someone misspoke or, even less likely, that you misunderstood.
When did you order your scores to be sent to USC?

There isn’t a need to use the rush service - just FAX in your unofficial report (number in post #8) and they will use that to consider your application and verify when the official scores arrive. USC admissions is remarkably flexible about these things.

wouldnt it be fine if you sent it in on the deadline?
I did that for uchicago and they had no problems with it even with the overwhelming number of applications that exceeded expectations. infact, they even got the SAT scores before several of my other documents which I sent in weeks before.
