SAT required?

I applied to UF before the deadline (about 5 minutes before the deadline), and sent my ACT score since I feel it is much better than my SAT score (35 vs 1460). However, most of the threads about sending scores are about sending SAT scores. UF's profile on Naviance says that the SAT is required if no ACT score is sent, and says that the ACT score is required if no SAT score is sent. If I took both, am I allowed to choose?

Yes you are

When I visited UF with my daughter, they admissions counselor stated that the only advantage of the SAT over the ACT is that UF superscores the SAT (they will choose the highest subscores from multiple tests), so if you take it more than once, your score will most likely improve at least a little. They do not currently superscore the ACT – if you take the ACT multiple times, they only choose the test with the highest composite score. Therefore, ACT testers are at a slight disadvantage to SAT testers. However, it appears that you don’t need the advantage, so you should certainly send in the ACT.
