SAT Retake

Hey guys,

So this is my situation: I'm looking to apply to top Ivies (HYP) as my parents were ivy alumni themselves. I got a 2230 on my first and only SAT so far. The score was a bit disappointing as I consistently got over 2300 on practice tests and got 237 on PSAT's. Anyways, I know I can get at least 2300 on my next testing.

As of now, I'm signed up to take 5 SAT II subject tests - two in May and three in June. So the only time I can take the SAT again would be October 2007. I wanted to do Early Action at one of the schools but the deadline for that is Nov. 1. Would my the admissions committee at my EA school receive my new (and hopefully better) score in time? Or should I just cancel some of my subject tests and fit in the SAT?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreiated. Thanks again.

Call the school and ask! If it wouldn't work, then consider the school's prorities. You could take the most important 3 subject tests and the SAT, or if you SAT score is already fine, all the subject tests. It depends on the school and their requirements/expectations.

yea, they would, u just need to have collegeboard know tho, and they'll send it priority mail first for all ED/EA ppl

i was in that situation too. when you take it oct 1, the scores may come out before or after nov 1, the deadline. all you need to do is just have the application and scores sent before nov 1, that doesn't mean it has to be received by nov 1, it just has to show that you sent the scores before nov 1. so on collegeobard, or when you take the SAT, indicate where you want the scores sent when you take the SAT on oct.
