I'm entering my senior year and I currently have a 2180 combined score- 2170 without. My question is whether or not I should retake the SATs. I'm planning on applying to ivy's along with some UC's but I live in guam which doesn't have extremely high admission standards. Any suggestions?

UCs don’t superscore. A 2170 for any UC is fine, and if you have the right grades, with that SAT score, you’re in. For an Ivy, I think a 2180 puts at a slight disadvantage. Just to be “safe”–although with the Ivy League, you can never really predict anything–you might want to improve in one of the areas to attain a 2200+. For Ivies, though, it’s not just about the SAT.

Thanks for the advice, but would it honestly make that big of a difference to get 30-40 points higher on my SAT?
