Sat review

ok so I am a sophomore right now, but I've heard it's good to start studying early for the SATs so I was wondering... which book is the best SAT study guide?? There's so many options and I just wanna know which ones helped you guys the most?

THANKS!

I used the official SAT book (aka The Blue Book). Basically, there exist many gimmicks but the only way to get that high score is to practice.

Buy the Blue Book

Take Practice Sections to see where you stand.

Look up all the answers online (The College Board website has all the answers for the Blue Book ** with ** explanations). Learn why the right answer is right and why the wrong answer is wrong.

If you are bad at grammar, read silverturtle’s guide. Also read Sparknote’s Seven Deadly Screwups.

If you are bad at CR Sentence Comps, learn vocabulary (Buy both Direct Hits books off Amazon). If you are bad at the reading sections, use silverturtle’s strategy. I’ve heard that reading the NY Times (Op-Ed section) helps as well.

If you are bad at math, do a lot of P-Tests and learn how to do everything. There are little tricks the SAT always uses for its math sections.

Good Luck
