Do these tests reflect your abilities in math? I am currently a junior in Honors Pre-Cal and I do extremely well in the class. I currently hold an A, and my high school does not grade inflate or anything. I've usually done very well in math classes. However, I struggle immensely with the math sections on the SATs. My recent PSAT scores have been 55, 56, and January SAT 570.

I have no trouble at all with CR or writing, where I am able to go 680+ consistently on practice tests and actual tests/psat.

Here are my practice test trends for SAT math 560, 560, 590, 610, 580

This is just frustrating me. Obviously I am not studying efficiently, but what am I doing wrong? I study from the first edition of the blue book and I just do the practice problems continuously. When I get something wrong, I learn the technique. I think my problem is that, I read through the questions too quickly and I use the wrong technique to approach it?

At this point, is it a good idea to just drop $400+ on a tutor? Or does anyone have any of their own tips or tricks (youtube videos, certain study books, etc)
