SAT/SAT II May vs. June

Hi, I've looked at a lot of threads with similar questions but can't find one that exactly fits my question, so here it is:

I'm a high school junior and I need to take the SAT and SAT II on either the May or the June date. I need to know if I should take the SAT in May and the subject tests in June, or the other way around. I am going to take the APs in May for US history (May 11), BC calc (May 9), and English Language/Composition (May 16).

I have heard that you shouldn't take more than two subject tests in one day so I think I will take History and Math 2, and then take maybe Spanish and English Lit next fall.

So the SAT date for May is May 5, which is after my finals for Calc and History, but several days before the APs. The June SAT date is June 2, right before the end of year finals. Noting that I took the SAT for practice as a freshman and know its format, while I have never taken SAT II tests, should I take the SAT in May because I won't have to worry about it as much, and then take the SAT II in June so I have some time to prepare for them, or take the SAT II in the middle of AP preparation and save the SAT for June when I'll be almost in summer mode?

Sorry this is so long, thank you for reading and any help would be appreciated! One last thing to consider is I don't know how motivated I will be to keep reviewing History and Math after the AP, when we really don't do anything in class for the last month.

Why are you taking 4 subject tests? You are only required two so just do extremely well on those 2…studying the other 2 is just a waste of time…i recommend taking one subject test in May, the real SAT on june, and anothe subject test on october

Take May SAT IIs. You can rollover AP prep into SAT II prep. Take the June SAT I.

(That’s what I’m doing, at least - USH, Chem, and Lit in May, Math II and Latin in June.)

Thanks for the replies. I wanted to take more than 2 SAT IIs so I could take the best two, but maybe what I’ll do is take two now, see how I do, and take another next October if necessary. So I’ll do May History and Math II, SAT I in June. Thanks guys!
