SAT & SAT Subject Test HELP!?

Hi everyone! I took the SAT freshmen year and got an 1870. I am planning on taking it again senior year, with one or two PSAT's before then too. I really love the SAT, I can't wait to take it again. BUT I don't want to take it every year, especially since the PSAT's are coming up (I'm a sophomore).

I want to take the SAT Subject Tests in June. I'm currently taking AP Chemistry and Pre-Calc, so I want to take the Chemistry Subject test and Mathematics Level 1 and Level 2.

If I recieve high scores on those two tests, would colleges (when the time comes) accept/consider those scores although they are from the end of sophomore year?
Thanks :)

Anything taken in high school will be considered.

Yes, they will consider it. However, I would recommend that you do NOT take math 1. It’s superfluous to take both maths.

Also, be careful. Understand that colleges will see these scores and they can count against you. You won’t get brownie points for taking them early, so make sure you’re prepared. Since you have plenty of time, you might consider taking them on separate test dates, ie take Chem in May, when you’ve prepped for the AP test, and take Math II in June, so you can maximize your scores. Good luck!

napalm2013, would the colleges be able to see the scores even if i dont send them directly to them? For example, say I’m not proud of the score and I don’t end up sending the scores to any colleges.

All scores taken in high school will be on your score report. You can use “score choice” which lets you select which scores are on each report, but not all schools allow that.

Then why is it that people who take it several times say that they will send their best score?

^As napalm said, some schools take part in score choice which means you can send only your best scores while others do not participate in score choice.

In any case, your best scores will typically be considered.
