SAT scholarship

I never took the SAT or ACT, and I do not need to to get into college (because I go to schools that accept anyone).

However, could I get scholarship money if I take the SAT and score highly?

A few months ago I got 1590, whichout the writing portion. But I was watching TV at the same time. Is that high or average?

Many schools award scholarships based upon SAT or ACT scores. You should check with your school to see if it does. However, if they do not require an SAT or ACT score for admission, I doubt they use it for any awards either.

Now if you are planning on transferring, it will become more important.

I assume when you said you took the test while watching TV, you were referring to some kind of test prep program?

Typically, scholarships based on SAT or ACT scores are for incoming freshmen only. So, if you’re already in college, I don’t think taking the SAT now will benefit you scholarship-wise. But, you can always call your school and ask.

From your past posts it seems you are in your mid to late 20s and have over 100 college credits. No, it would not be likely that you would earn scholarships for doing well on a test compared to 15 to 17 year old high school students.

hahha. That’s right. I have 87 semester credits. Thanks for the information.

Oh, that was some “practice” from collegeboard. I had to download the test in .pdf and and check my answers online.
