SAT score at MAC

Hi everyone

I want to apply to MAC this year. However, my SAT score really make me hesitate since Mac SAt range is high. So I want to know how many percent do they count on SAT score for admission ? do they reject students owing to low scores ? My GPA was good and lots of extra-curricular activities..about essay, it's possibly not too bad :D Can anyone help me with this ? :D

thanks so much in advance !
:D

i am a prospective student also, and what i've found helpful is to google the common data set and then you can see how they rank gpa, sat's, interview, etc...i guess it's the closest you'll get to the truth!

Getitlow, you sound like you're not a native speaker of English. If that is true, then Mac might overlook a lower SAT Reading and SAT Writing score. If you have good grades and good recommendations, that could compensate for lower SAT scores.

Getitlow, now I notice that you live in Viet Nam. Is financial aid an issue? It can be very difficult for internationals to get aid.

There isn't a set percentage that the SAT score counts for; it's more of a big picture thing, and they know that different students are stronger in different areas; I don't work for admissions or anything, but my impression going through the app process and being a current Mac student is that they're into the whole holistic type of evaluating. I don't know what your SAT scores are, of course, but they wouldn't just take the briefest glance, be like "oh, this student's scores are too low" and then throw it in the reject pile without looking everything over. It also depends on what your SAT score is...that sounds vague, and I don't mean to be prying if you'd prefer not to share, but what I mean is that what you might consider quite a lot lower than Mac would be looking for might not actually be as "low" as you think.
