My son took the SAT 3 times. 3rd time was same exact scores for both English & Math. He send both the 1st and 2nd SATs to schools, since that was his best superscore. I was just looking over the sub sub sections, and see that he did best on 3 of these on the 1 report he didn’t send. I’m talking Command of Evidence, Heart of Algebra, etc. My question is do colleges really look closely at these sub sections, that I should now bother sending the 3rd test and paying once again? Thanks.
no-dont bother. no they dont care about the subsections
Not only do they not look closely at them, they don’t look at them at all IMO. They are still figuring out the new SAT, the new concordance table, etc. In the 10-12 minutes that an AO spends on an application, s/he will not have time to microanalyze.
That’s what we figured, I just wanted to see what you all had to say. Thanks again!
No, they don’t.
Colleges don’t pay attention to sub sections, they only pay attention to the total score of English and Math. However, if those subsections bumped his scores up in either section, it would be worth it
They do look at the section scores but not the subsection scores. There are too much data for the adcom to handle already.
