SAT Score Check--Chances?

Hey Guys,

I'm not going to bore anyone with the extraneous stuff like I've seen at times on here, I just want to know how realistic I'm being and what anyone's thoughts are about my chances getting into preferably UPenn (or something of its caliber for that matter.)
These were my two SAT results for my Junior year .
Critical Reading 730
Math 570
Writing 740

Critical Reading 760

Math 680

Writing 660

GPA 4.0

I'm a white male from less than $40,000 household and hoping to major in a Language field or Middle Eastern/Islamic Studies...I plan on taking World History, U.S. History, and French SAT II tests.

Your thoughts about my chances, what I should do or any other comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time.

Raise to 2200, it will improve your chances greatly…I highly recommend retaking just one more time to go for that 2200!!!

Will raising a 2180 to a 2200 improve Emperorian’s chances that greatly? I mean, it’s only 20 pts.

Honestly, the image of a 2200 improves, in my opinion. It’s like what stores use to price their products…Is $3.99 really better than $4.00? Yeah, by 1 @#$%$%$ cent!!! But the image of $3… makes it look better. I honestly believe that the 2200 cutoff will help him/her. And it doesn’t have to just be a 2200. Go for a 2250, for that matter, but I still think the score needs improvement.

i disagree that the image of a 2200 looks that much better since they look at the SAT by each section ( there’s a good chance they don’t even add up the scores in their heads). All they would see is a ten pt improvement in two of the three sections (which isn’t the biggest deal)… if there is a possible chance to score 2250-2300 then we are talking up to a forty pt difference for each section. So i personally suggest to only retake the SAT if you can signifigantly raise it. If not, 2180 is in Penn’s upper range and is a very good score.
