October SAT: CR 800 M 700 W 720 C 2220
March SAT: CR 630 M 800 W 730 C 2160
Superscored: CR 800 M 800 W 730 C 2330

I was wondering if I should submit both scores which superscores to 2330 or just send in the single sitting 2220 for schools with score choice? I was thinking that even though 2330 looks better than 2220, colleges may question the large drop in critical reading from 800 to 630.

That is a hard decision. Check the schools you are applying to see if they will superscore or just take the best single seat score.

If a school practices superscoring, you are better off submitting scores from two sittings. “Superscore” means just that: the school takes the higher score, disregards the lower.

Superscore means putting the highest subscores from each section among 2 or more test dates together. It is different from picking the best combined score from a single test date (aka single seat).

I know that all the schools I’m applying to either superscore w/ score choice or i have to send all scores. So I’m still conflicted whether i should send both sittings or not. 800 to 630 is a steep drop and I’m not exactly sure how adcoms will react especially for ivies.
