SAT score expires soon, do I have to take it again?

I'm a rising sophomore and thinking about transferring at the end of my sophomore year. I took my SAT in the November of my senior year in high school. According to collegeboard, it should be expired by this November, which means by the time the colleges are reviewing my applications (next spring), the score is expired. I'm wondering if there's any chance that i can send in the score now (before it is expired) so the school can use it as a reference at that time. I just don't want to waste time taking the test again. I'm thinking about transferring to UPenn and Columbia, anyone who transferred in their sophomore year plz give me some input.
Thanks a lot!

Your best bet would be to email their admissions office and ask. Collegeboard will still send out your scores but they will just include a note that they are expired and may not be a wholly accurate representation of your current abilities.
