I am a national merit semifinalist. I’m confused on sending SAT scores. The instructions say the the report should show the National Merit Corporation as a recipient (code 0085). Where can I verify this? I checked my score report and I cannot find it.
You have to send your confirming SAT score to National Merit Corp (code 0085) to be considered for Finalist. Just like you send your SAT scores to a school, you go into the College Board website, go to “send scores” and then you can type in the search box “National Merit”. You will see “National Merit Corp” and just click on that to add sending scores to them and pay as usual.
If you have already done the steps above, there is a section to see where you have already sent scores. It should show up there. Also, you can call NMSC and they will confirm receipt by checking your file.
