if you feel like its not the score you want then practice and take the test again. just do what you want. forget about everyone else. if you feel like you don’t want to retake the SAT but dont’ want to use your SAT score, then take the ACT.

A 1500/2400 is, as has already been mentioned, average. So it’s not good or bad… it’s “ok.” Unless you want to get into a major research university or a prestigious private school, you should be fine at most colleges assuming your GPA is decent.

I just bought one of those self take sat books. I took the test without studying and the last time I went to school was 13 years ago, and my score was 1510. I know it’s an average score, but I feel good about it cause I know I can improve it if I study. Please feel free to comment. I can take criticism as well.

HAHAHhahahHAHAH LOLOLLllll

^^Um, you’ll probably find more maturity in one of the adult caf

Well, you’ve probably improved naturally in your logical abilities over 13 years, though you may have to brush up on some math concepts.

Don’t listen to the a-rod a-holes on here. Just boost up your score and you’ll look great to colleges.

i got a 1500 too! woot!

your SAT is one thing. Your GPA matters a lot. They will see you work hard and if you have AP classes, even better. My SAT was Below Average-1380, and I retook it and got a 1470. My GPA however was 3.9 which is pretty good I would say, and I even got a scholarship too. Extra curriculars also help i.e. sports, and volunteer service. Leadership is also important. A buddy of mine got into the US Naval Academy. He had a below average SAT, and a GPA of a 3.4, and he still got in because they felt he had the qualities of a leader. I’m not saying blow it off, but if you put yourself, your character, your effort on that application, you’ll do just fine. I promise.

Don’t feel bad! I made a 1500 on my Sat the first time I took it too. I was nervous and I guess slightly unprepared. I didn’t know what quite to expect! But making a 1500 on the Sat doesn’t make you stupid in the slightest, you just have to keep trying! I mean I’m in the Nation Honors Society, Beta Club, and a avid straight A student- and I made a 1500 myself. I’m going to take it again this year, and not give up on getting a higher score!
The last posts on this thread were 4-6 years ago. If we just wait a bit longer, getting 1500 will come full circle to representing a pretty good score.
