As far as word lists go, I have barron's flashcards for the sat. If you could send me RocketReview's wordlist, it would be great. Thanks to all for the input and thanks for the CR tips Godot.

How did you guys prepare as far as writing goes? I feel I know the questions, but I always seem to overlook some small detail. The same is true of the math section.

Alright, you need some guidance. You are trying to go from a 2040 to a 2300 or higher. Thats a 260 point increase. Normally, id say with prepping and studying, it can be accomplished. However, your score is not in the 1500s or the 1700s. Your score is already above the 90th percentile so getting it any high is going to be hard if not impossible. Sure, you can jump from a 1500 to a 1760 pretty easily if you studied. But we are talking about superior scores. Once you hit 2200 or over, it is going to come down to luck more than anything.

My point: Don't set unrealistic goals for yourself because in the end, you will be disappointed. Set a goal of 100-150 points and that can be realized with hard work. Anything above is going to rely on intuition and luck, stuff you can't study for. If you do end up setting a goal that high, the stress factor is going to be pretty intense, another thing you can't study for.
