SAT score mistake?

Me and my friend both took the SAT test on April 1st and when we got our scores back he missed 17 and ommited 0 and got a 610 and I missed 16 and omitted 0 and got a 600. How can this be? Does this have something to do with seperate curves for different versions of the test? or is it a mistake?

Ownd........

yes, call them...that is just weird... are you sure you missed only 16? hmmm...

Yeah, different tests have seperate curves. It's not a mistake.

r u sure???????????????????

I can think of two possible reasons. SAT questions are internally rated as easy, medium, or hard. It is possible that the scores reflects the level of difficulty of the incorrect answers. Also, standardized tests are constantly being refined. There are questions that are being tested for validity. They don't count in the final score.

I heard some q's are weighted differently. Don't take my word.
