SAT score not up to par?

Hello!
So, I took the SATs in May with the hope that I would get a 2200+ score, but I ended up with 2180 (760W, 740M, 680CR). I retook it on June 5 (misprinted test) and my score went down even more! D:
I’m aiming for colleges such as UC Berkeley, UCLA, Duke, Dartmouth and I’m pretty sure that my score won’t greatly help my chances and I’m okay with that but I’m kind of concerned that it will hurt me? I just want to know if it’ll get me past the first general SAT/test scores inspection…thoughts?

Hi mate.

You are experiencing the same problem as I am. In the May 15 SAT, I got a 2170 (CR:720 M:780 W:670). Although my CR and M scores were good, writing honestly sucked (because I knew had the ability to do way better). So I gave the June SAT, but scored way worse all together. It was a 2070 (CR:630 M:730 W:710). Although the writing score turned out to be better, the drop itself was devastating.
The only positive thing to the entire debacle was that my SAT super score had gone up: 2210. I’m indeed relieved that my super score crossed 2200, since Duke, Dartmouth and all those top universities super score. However, I’m not too sure whether the drop will prove to be a detriment or not.
I had started two very similar threads regarding the drop on which I received quite some feedback. You can check them too; I’m sure it will assuage you.
