sat score questions ?

i've taken the sat twice. i got 740CR, 790M, 770W the first time and 730CR, 740M, 780W the second. i was really disappointed the second time because i was shooting for at least an 800 in math. my first question is if my first 2300 is competitive for schools like MIT and Caltech. my second question is if there is any point in sending my second test in order to bring my superscore up by 10 points. thanks.

can anyone offer any advice on this?

It wouldn’t hurt to send in your second set of scores…they are higher…even if its just 10 points.

I wouldn’t send the second one if the school doesen’t require you to. A 2300 is an excellent score and is, in fact, higher than the average sat scores at both MIT and Caltech.
