SAT Score Recipient Question

So I took the SAT Reasoning test this past Saturday and I did not sign up for the 4 score recipients. However, since I have until Monday to decide, I want to put down the 4 schools that I am sending my scores to. But, the problem is this: I want to show colleges my SAT II Scores, but not my SAT I score (because I'm planning on using my ACT in lieu of the SAT I Score). I know that colleges will see my SAT I scores anyways if I send my SAT II scores. So my question is this: do I have to send the score report via the specific SAT II that I took or can I just send it via the SAT Reasoning test (because I have 4 free spots)?

I’m not sure exactly what your question is, but if you use those 4 free score reports you have from the SAT Reasoning test you just took, then yes, those 4 schools will get the SAT Reasoning Test score as well as any SAT Subject Test scores that you have taken previously.

Even if they get your SAT I scores, they’ll probably look at your best scores, which are presumably your ACT scores, so don’t worry.

So…should I still take advantage of the free-four-school-recipient option (even though I want colleges to evaluate my SAT II scores and ACT score instead of my SAT I score)?

Also, when is the best time to send these scores when my application is due on January 1-15?

Thanks for answering the question~!

Edit:
Since I don’t want to start another thread, I have another question. For the UC application, what do I write for the 2008 income for my parents when they don’t yet (since 2008 did not yet finish)?

If you use the free-for-four option it’s a way of sending all your scores, and so that would include your SATIIs. It’ll save you some money rather than ordering them to be sent later. Either way the colleges will get all your scores. You can also send your ACT score of course. I guess the best way to signal them as to which score (ACT or SATI) you’d like them to consider would be to use the ACT score on the application itself where you’re asked to report your score. The general assumption is, anyway, that they’ll consider whichever is strongest. But there’s no way around them getting all the SAT scores, whether you have them sent as four-for-free or you pay to have them sent, so you may as well have them sent for free.

You’ll have to estimate your parents 2008 income. Just get it as close as you can. You’ll have a chance to amend it later.

^Thank you. I also have one more question. If I’m taking SAT Math II in December, would it be better to wait until I send my scores - cause the December scores won’t show up to the schools I’m applying to right (if I send it on Monday)? Also, do UC schools require sending the score as well?

Thank you ahead of time!

I don’t know about UC requirements.

You could send off your current SAT scores to any schools that don’t need the Math2 test score. Then when you take the Math2 test in December, you could use your four free score reports at that time to send your scores to 4 more schools that will want the math score.

Or if you’re only applying to schools that want that Math2 score, then it doesn’t really matter if you send your current scores now. You’ll still have to send another report that includes the math test later.

^Thank you.

Oh yea, one more question:

When I’m giving the manila envelopes to my guidance counselor, does the return address have to have her name on it or my name? Also, is it okay for each teacher to send a letter of recommendatdion separately or should I ask my teachers to give their recommendations to my guidance counselor so that all can be sent at the same time?
