Hey guys,
I'm a junior taking the upcoming January SAT I.
I was just wondering, is it better to use my 4 free score reports and send to the colleges I think I will apply to next year? I mean, what if I do bad? Or is it better to hold off and send my scores next year as I apply? A little confused about this..
And does the new score-reporting choice policy affect this?
Thanks!

I'm just not reporting to anyone for fear of doing poorly.

Is the concensus here NOT to send scores until you know you've made a decent score? So, don't fill in your 4 choices until after you get your score? D has already entered her choices, can she/should she change them before she takes the test?

D will be a Top 10%, so getting admitted isn't going to be a problem unless the legislature is pushed enough to change it. So what is a decent enough score to get into a Tier 1 honors program?

Don't send your scores...

Wait until you take others, and at Senior year, send your scores... you still need to test for subject tests and the like right?

and the new Score-Reporting policy is worthless if you are considering top schools... many colleges have realized how BS it is and now requests all your scores.

Unless you want to send it as a joke... I sent all my AP test scores to Harvard only every year while filling out the AP application, even in Freshman year... :)

they look at all your scores? so if you do badly on your first test, colleges can see it? D:

A lot of top colleges have opted not to use the new score-reporting choice (scam) from our beloved CollegeBoard.

Stanford, Cornell, Pomona, the University of Pennsylvania, University of Southern California, and recently Yale have now required all scores be sent.

Do well on all tests.... :)

Ok thanks! That clarified things a lot. So how bout the ACT :P ?
