Hello, I'm trying to fax my SAT score reports for Stanford U. Problem is, I do not know what score report they officially accept. Are the SAT scores that are on the "My SAT" tab in collegeboard the official score reports that I have to print out and fax to them? Does Stanford have a cover sheet? Or do I just put my name and commonapp# on the same page of the score report and send to them?

Thank you very much for your time and help!

You need to have CollegeBoard send Stanford your scores directly (Order Score Reports on the CollegeBoard website). Otherwise, they are not “official” which is a must

Thank you, but I’m doing early action and Collegeboard doesn’t send scores until december 13 or so i believe… I do not receive the SAT scores via mail either… Stanford emailed me and asked me to fax it to them, problem is, I don’t have a physical copy of the scores but they’re only online.

Ahh… Okay sorry. Then I would print the online report and fax that. It’s perfectly fine that you don’t have the mailed hard-copy (they probably don’t expect it). If they did not provide you with a cover sheet and you cannot find one online, just make sure to include your CommonApp ID, Full Name, Mailing Address, DOB, to help it get sorted into your file.

Did you also have CollegeBoard send them? If you haven’t, you may also have them do that.

Best of luck.

Thank you very much! I’m panicking about doing the faxing so late in the application process but I really appreciate your help. I became less worried after getting your confirmation. Once again, I appreciate it very much.

P.S. should i type down my information or write it down with my own hands?

No problem. It doesn’t matter whether you type or write it out. Do whichever you feel more comfortable with.
