lucky you! it seems the curve for this test was harsh even though most persons didn’t find the CR section easy. Well i guess that doesn’t matter considering the curve isn’t based on test-takers performance but on the level of difficulty CB determines it to be. And apparently in their eyes this CR was easy-__-

Through some research, it would seem that the curve went like this

In the may SAT i had 3 mistakes in writing and got a 710. These things are not uncommon. But really as long as you passed 700 you should be fine. Resitting would just seem petty

Wow. The curve is really based on CollegeBoard’s assessment and not on actual performances? I didn’t know that. I think the reading section works the same way for ACT.

I believe the curve is based on the experimental section. The experimental section is used for correlating with past SAT performance, for centering the bell curve so to speak.

And the essay score should have a lot to do with the 710 score in writing with 3 wrongs in multiple choices.

idk why CB decided to screw over the intl Nov test takers, I feel soooooo cheated sigh I’m def going back in January with a vengeance! imma tear that test up (figuratively, of course)

Oh. I didn’t take the international test. My test was the one with the Negative Campaign Ads passage (I think we called it Test B on CC). Regardless, this curve came out of nowhere. The common consensus seemed to be that the CR portion of this test was harder than usual…

hmm it seems they were trying to punish Nov test takers. The CR curve was def a shocker especially coming from that extremely generous curve n Oct
