Sat score reporting help

okay, so I sent my SAT scores before october 10 so that they could be sent automatically to uva. however, where do i get confirmation that the school received my scores? collegeboard said that they sent my scores on october 18, 2011 so does that mean that uva will receive it by the november 1 deadline? however, when i track my scores, it only shows me that i sent my october one in, not the others. but when i see the history of sent scores, all of the test scores i selected are said to be "sent". can someone please clear this up?

I think you need to talk to College Board.

Once you submit an application to UVa, you’ll have an account in the UVa student system where you can look at a “to do” list.

Does anyone know how SAT score reporting works now. When I did it all scores were submitted and school like UVa superscored. Now my sister is in the college hunt and when she asked me how it works now I couldn’t anwer. My recollection was that you could select the scores that are submitted, but I not really sure.

Any updates would be appreciated. Thanks!

ETS sends the scores electronically.
Our application system picks the best combination of scores.

Thanks Dean J. I don’t know why I had it in my mind that you could now pick and chose the scores you wanted to send colleges but for some reason I did.

You can chose the scores you want sent. If you look on College Board they have it explained very clearly. Not all schools super score the way UVA does so score choice can be a great tool.

I read the score choice power point on college board website and based upon what Dean J is saying and what I gather from college board different schools handle score choice differently. How do you determine who allows score choice? I didn’t locate a listing on the C/B site.
thanks

Try this link. It takes you to the college board site. The easiest way to get to it though is through the commonapp website. That is how I found it again. Good Luck.

Thanks Mamalumper. It is hard to believe how much as changed since I went through this process a few years ago. I don’t miss it.

If the online account if your “history” of scores sent on College Board seems to be in error at any time during the admissions process (for any school), call and confirm which scores were actually sent. My son had a problem last year with a couple UC’s. The online history on college board said his SAT’s were sent, but not the SAT II’s. He called and they confirmed that ALL scores were actually sent, so just letting you know. Just call College Board and get someone to list the history for you over the phone. They’ll ask you some security questions and then someone will help you. It’s a more accurate history if at all in doubt.
